Vance County Regional Fair - Entertainment for All Ages!
Often the sight of a fair coming to town evokes a level of
excitement in children that can seldom be matched. It is the
thrill of the rides, the smell of fresh popcorn, the sound
of live music and the special feeling that brings back fond
fair memories in all of us. Memories of when we were kids
and the county fair was one of the greatest events in our
young lives. Creating these memories for the next generation
is one of the goals of the Vance County Regional Fair. Here
you'll find knee slapping, wide smiles, jump out of your
seat entertainment for children of all ages.
Magic of Lance Gifford and Company
Appearing Daily Lance Gifford's unique style, flare for
theatrical
presentation, incredible illusions and astounding magic
tricks make this a show not to be missed. He performs
some of the world's most modern and intriguing
illusions, including Houdini’s "Metamorphosis."
When the alarm tones sound calling engine
one to duty it's all trainees on deck. During the show
you will see our firefighter team work through a fire
scene, enter the smoke filled buildings, and make heroic
style rescues. This show will remind you of the
importance of fire safety and how much firefighters put
on the line everyday. Children will love this show and
enjoy participating.
If birds are the feather of your fancy, stop by our bird and
poultry exhibit area. You’ll find chickens, roosters,
turkeys and a variety of birds on display. Did you know that
a hen requires 24 to 26 hours to produce an egg? Thirty
minutes later, she starts all over again. Learn these fun
facts and more at this exhibit.

County Regional Fair Pageant. For children 12 and under, the
pageant offer boys and girls an opportunity to compete for

Featuring steers, heifers, dairy heifers, lambs,
goats, ewes, and chickens, the Junior Livestock Show is
always one of the highlights of the fair. We hope you
will bring the entire family to see this event and what
makes North Carolina Agriculture special!
FAMILY FARM FUN AREA
The Family Fun Farm,
staffed by Extension's Kerr Lake Master Gardener
Volunteers, will be open each evening from 5 to 8 pm
with crafts and games. On Saturday the activities will
run from 10am to 8pm and will include a chance to vote
